The story of Strength and Stride began at Northern Arizona University in 2021, when founders Kenny Scherer and Sawyer Sprung crossed paths during their Physical Therapy studies. United by a shared vision, they set out to create a service that prioritizes transparency, personalized care, and genuine patient relationships. Our mission is to empower patients on their journey to recovery. To ensure therapy is accessible and convenient for everyone, we provide flexible options including at-home visits, telehealth sessions, and the willingness to meet patients wherever they feel most comfortable. This patient-centered approach is the cornerstone of our practice.
Strength and Stride is built on the strengths of Dr. Sprung and Dr. Scherer. Dr. Sprung, a former Division 1 runner, brings a wealth of expertise in endurance training, while Dr. Scherer, with his military and football background, specializes in strength training. Together, they form a dynamic team committed to delivering exceptional care to the Flagstaff community.
